Toronto Building Renovator License No: T85-4304755

Toronto is one of only a few cities in Ontario that requires a general contractor to acquire a building renovator license to perform renovation work in it's jurisdiction. As there are many different aspects of the construction industry, an applicant can only perform described work that the city deems the contractor is qualified for. Qualifications are determined by proof of work practice and by a one on one session with an industry expert that rates you on your knowledge of each construction trade. For example, as described by the City of Toronto, MaKenady Construction Services Inc. can perform renovation work as follows:

  • 1. Drywall
  • 2. Hardwood Flooring
  • 3. Tile Setting
  • 4. Installation of Cabinets and Vanities
  • 5. Rough and Finish Carpentry
  • 6. All other work must be performed by licensed sub-trade
